Remember the Ford Mondeo Vignale concept from Frankfurt? It's basically a posh Mondeo, but Ford would like us to think it's a bit more than that. Yes, strictly speaking the debut of the new Ford Kuga at the Los Angeles Motor Show in November is actually for the 2013 Ford Escape. But in the new ‘One World’ of Ford the new Escape – based on the Ford Vertrek Concept from this year’s Detroit Motor Show – will, with just a few changes, become Europe’s new Ford Kuga. What makes it even more certain that the Escape is much the same as the Kuga will be is news on the engines.
NOT convinced that McLaren’s current P1 supercar is fast enough? Don’t worry, as the supercar maker has unveiled plans to build a limited-run version packing 1000 horsepower. You’ll have to be quick though, as this track-only model will be built after the 375th and final regular P1 variant leaves the production line.
